Medical imaging techniques are an important element in the early detection of cancers. They are indispensable for determining the location, extension and stage of the lesion for diagnosis and treatment. Radiation oncology or radiation therapy is a major part of cancer treatment. Most people will receive some form of radiation during their course of cancer treatment.
